Facilities ManagerMargaret Pratt Community is an assisted living and memory care community that offers seniors a comfortable and welcoming home-like environment. This position works to maintain the facility in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations to assure the highest level of service and quality is maintained. Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Day shift | Monday to Friday Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year 🔹 Click here to apply for this position. Duties and Responsibilities: Staff Management Oversees and co-manages Resident Services Assistants as assigned to assist with facilities projects. Facilities Management: Management of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. Monitor departmental supplies to maintain proper inventory levels. Provide emergency response to resident facility management needs. Schedule inspections, equipment repair, and contractors for equipment maintenance. Conduct daily walk-through of the building and create necessary work orders. Implement and maintain facility work order process. Maintain logs and forms to support policies and procedures for proper building management. Ensure outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts. Record keeping of expenses, invoices, and budget adherence. Report/recommend to Executive Director as necessary regarding departmental operations. Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program. Coordinate departmental services with those of other departments. Administration: Attend and provide in-service programs as required. Responsible for facility fire safety and protection programs. Ensure all facility personnel wear and use appropriate safety equipment and supplies. Assume responsibility for MSDS, “Right to Know”,” OSHA and Hazmat programs. Responsible for procuring and maintaining contracts with outside agencies for Pest Control, Waste Management, Snow Removal, etc. Performance of other duties as deemed necessary, appropriate, and within the scope of training and education. Subject to be called back to the facility in emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, post–disaster, etc.) Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation and all associated responsibilities. Reports any accidents and/or incidents to Executive Director or designee immediately. Performance of other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as directed. Assist residents with all activities of daily living (ADLs) per schedule. Assists residents with ambulation, in and out of bed or chairs per care plans. Provides Health Services Director and Care Manager with pertinent information for resident assessment and care plan completion. First line of response to emergency call alarm. Attends care conferences to review resident care plan as needed. Maintains an awareness of supply and equipment needs and reports needs to the Care Manager and Health Services Director. Records all relevant data in electronic medical records per facility policy. Report unusual or significant changes in resident appearance or behaviors to Health Services Director and Care Manager. Assists residents with catheter care as indicated. Assist residents during admission, transfer and/or discharge processes. Provides end of life care as indicated. Perform special treatments that fall within the scope of education and training as directed. Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures. Assists with meal services, including setting up tables, serving meals and cleaning up the dining room. Assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed. Completes scheduled and unscheduled laundry services for each resident. Assists with individual and group social / recreational activities; encourages resident participation in activities. Documents both scheduled and unscheduled care that is provided, in addition to incidents, behaviors, and out of the ordinary events, including a residents’ refusal of services in the electronic medical record. Monitors vital signs as required and documents in the electronic medical record. Miscellaneous Offers support and assistance to other departments as directed and needed. Maintains organization and cleanliness of work areas. Reports defective equipment to the Facilities Manager. Reports any safety hazards in resident apartments immediately. Report accidents and/or incidents to Health Services Director and Executive Director immediately. Participates in required staff training. Maintains professional confidentiality regarding residents and community. Maintains a consistent level of professionalism with residents, family members and staff.
